AI to aid all in Hyderabad

The Hexagon Capability Center India (HCCI) will open an AI community centre in Hyderabad next year. In partnership with Nasscom, the center will provide access to all levels, with a focus on the Hexagon-backed smart city. On top of this, it will give free education on all AI topics.

The HCCI vice-president and country manager, Navaneet Mishra, explained that they recently signed an MoU with Nasscom, and the center will cover around 350 students annually in multiple batches.

Having already expanded its facility in Hyderabad, which now employs 1,400 people, HCCI predicts it will employ an additional 100 people by the end of this year.

Claudio Simao, Group Chief Technology Officer, Hexagon AB, also confirmed their intention to expand their presence in Hyderabad.

The winners of the 24-hour hackathon, named Hexathon, which was conducted recently by the company, were also announced, with first place awarded to Malla Reddy Engineering College for Women, Hyderabad, for a smart voting system using blockchain.
