CPL 2020 has been a tournament of records. While Tim Seifert's maiden T20 century will help him grab the headlines, the St. Lucia Kings opener will also take pride in the fact that he matched Andre Russell's record of the fastest century in CPL history.

The 30-year-old Seifert faced a total of 53 balls on Sunday and remained unbeaten on 125 runs for St. Lucia Kings in the 205-run chase against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. He reached his hundred off just 46 balls, the same as Russell did for Jamaica against Guyana in the 2019 edition of the tournament.

The Kiwi batsman, who opened the innings after replacing Lendl Simmons, gave St. Lucia Kings a flying start after being put in to bat. He dominated the bowling attack, hitting 12 fours and six sixes to help the team register their third win in five matches.

The Kings opener's explosive knock helped the team chase down the target in just 18.5 overs and helped them move up to the second position in the points table, behind Guyana Warriors.
