Hyderabad seems to be the new hub of crimes against women. Sadly, here's another incident to add to the list. This time it involves a 25-year-old student who has been arrested for allegedly stalking a 34-year-old professor at the Ramanaidu Film School in Filmnagar.

Identified as N. Bharat Reddy, the man turned a proposal of marriage into relentless harassment. The horror started when the professor, who has been working at the film school for two years, rejected Reddy's marriage proposal. Reddy, who joined the direction course at the institute in August last year, began stalking the professor and harassing her. Even after being warned and expelled from the school, Reddy continued to harass the professor.

He would stalk the professor online and follow her to places she visited. Through her social media updates, Reddy knew where she was and appeared at the same places. Unable to bear the harassment, the professor approached the Filmnagar police, who subsequently arrested Reddy. The accused was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.

This is not the end of the story. With many women becoming victims of crime, we need to create more awareness to stop such crimes. The need of the hour is to take a strong stand against perpetrators of such heinous acts!

Quote:

"For some time, Hyderabad has seen a surge in crimes against women. It is time we wake up to the reality and take a stand against these crimes to stop this from happening to other women!"
