Police in Hyderabad have rescued 6 children after busting a child kidnap gang in Chandanagar. The investigation revealed a shocking disclosure: the children were being kidnapped to be sold to various wealthy families.
According to the police, the gang operated by enticing children with candies and other treats, luring them into their trap. They would then be kidnapped and sold to wealthy families who lacked their own children or were looking to adopt. The investigation revealed that the gang had been operating for several months, and it was only through a diligent manhunt that the police could trace and catch them.
The six children, aged between 4 to 8, were recovered from a secret location in Visakhapatnam, where the gang operated out of.
Inspector Ramana of the Chandanagar police department spoke out on the issue, reassuring the public that the police were taking steps to locate and rescue any other children who may have been victim to the gang.
Though the gang has been arrested, the Inspector urged parents to be vigilant, advising them to avoid sending their children out alone.
It is hoped that the arrest of this gang will lead to safer, happier families, both those with children and those who are hoping to adopt.
