Clouds of Piracy: Telugo Film Chamber Needs Police Intervention

Against Threats and Website Blockages

Numerous individuals illegally uploading pirated Telugu films have allegedly threatened various film producers, necessitating the involvement of the cybercrime police, according to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC).

TFCC's anti-video piracy cell informed the Hyderabad police that many pirates use domains hosted on Cloudflare, a content delivery network that provides enhanced security and anonymity. This makes it difficult to shut these domains down.

The chamber also claimed that websites uploading pirated movies posted public threats on their social media platforms, referring to several films and OTT exclusives that had been made available on these websites illegally.

The TFCC is seeking the police's assistance in preventing such blockages and apprehending the perpetrators of these violations.
