Hyderabad Police Launch Awareness Campaign to Protect Youth from Drugs

Classic Gardens in Begumpet recently played host to an anti-drug awareness campaign led by Hyderabad City's North Zone Police and the Fisheries and Cinematography Minister of Telangana, Talasani Srinivas Yadav. The campaign aims to sensitize youth against drug use and encourage them to lead the anti-drug campaign in their communities.

Speaking at the event, Minister Srinivas Yadav highlighted the changing culture and lifestyle, emphasizing the need to include substance abuse prevention in academic curricula. He urged everyone to organize more awareness programs and tip-off the police about any drug-related activities.

The City Police Commissioner, CV Anand, outlined their multi-pronged strategy to tackle the drugs menace through awareness programs and strict enforcement. They are also intervening in hotspots to actively counter the problem.

Anand urged the youth not to fall for the allure of instant gratification that drugs offer and to resist peer pressure. He encouraged them to spread the message to their peers and communities.

The event concluded with the pledge of the youth to actively participate in the fight against drug abuse.

This campaign is a positive step forward in raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and empowering the youth to take a stand against it.
