In a recent crackdown on drug abuse, Telanganas elite anti-narcotics unit, Eagle, worked with Cyberabad police to bust a rave party and arrest six attendees, including businessmen, a homemaker, a software engineer, and an engineering student. The raid took place at Rajeshwari Nilayam service apartment in Kondapur on the citys outskirts. Police seized various drugs including 20 grams of cocaine, 8 ecstasy pills weighing 20 grams, and 3 grams of MDMA. The mastermind, Teja, a 28-year-old cloud kitchen business owner, was alleged to have sourced the cocaine from Rahul, a Bengaluru-based supplier.
The event was Teja's rave party, where drugs were distributed at parties in Hyderabad, farmhouses, and even in Goa. Teja organised a New Year's party in Goa, according to DCP Vineeth. The police are still looking for Rahul and cracking down on similar drug-related incidents.
This intensified drive against drug trafficking and rave parties in Hyderabad is part of a broader effort to curb drug abuse.
