Cyberabad Takes Action to Reduce Under-Age Driving

Drawing attention to the problem of under-age driving in the Cyberabad limits, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vinod K. Kanumala, has announced that the traffic police have seized the driving licenses and vehicles of 69 minors caught driving in violation of the law. The crackdown is part of a wider effort to ensure the safety of all road users and to prevent accidents involving young, inexperienced drivers.

The traffic police have intensified their efforts to curb under-age driving in response to the growing concern of the public and stakeholders over the increase in the number of accidents caused by minors. The drive will continue until further notice, assures DCP Kanumala, emphasizing the police's commitment to making the roads safer for everyone.

According to the police, the minors were caught driving without licenses, underage, and without the required permission from their parents or guardians. The driving licenses and vehicles of these minors will remain seized until the parents produce the required documents for the vehicles and assure the police that they will not allow their children to drive without a license.

The traffic police have also requested the community's support in this initiative, urging parents and guardians to refrain from allowing their minors to drive and ensuring that they follow the legal procedures to obtain a driving license when eligible. By working together, the police and the community can create a safer environment for everyone on the roads of Cyberabad.

It is important to note that driving is a responsibility that comes with great power and should not be taken lightly, especially by minors who may lack the necessary skills and experience to handle it safely. With continued enforcement and public cooperation, the police hope to reduce the number of accidents involving underage drivers and make the roads safer for everyone.
