NMC Commissioner Calls for Tax Compliance from Public

Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner YO Nandan urged the public to pay their taxes on time, emphasizing that it is crucial for the development of the city. The commissioner highlighted the various infrastructure projects and community activities that the taxes pay for and warned that without public cooperation, it would be challenging to carry on with the initiatives.

Nandan spoke at a press conference where he outlined the government's plans for development in all 54 divisions of the city, including drinking water supplies, road maintenance, and worker services. He stated that Minister Ponguru Narayana and Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy also proposed many developmental projects, but these would be difficult to carry out without sufficient tax revenue.

The commissioner asked for the public's understanding of the urgency of the issue and appealed for payments on long-outstanding taxes, stressing that these funds are essential to keeping the city running and developing.

Given the importance of these revenue streams, the NMC commissioner urged all residents to do their part and pay their taxes on time to help continue promising developments in the area.
