After a meeting in Mehdipatnam reviewing arrangements for the Ganesh immersion, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand urged officials to advise mandap organizers to promptly initiate the immersion process and ensure devotees return home safely.

Anand also instructed officials to maintain strict vigilance to prevent crimes by anti-social elements, pickpocketing, eve-teasing, and chain-snatching. He suggested that organizers and volunteers should be present near the idols at night, being extra cautious due to the rain.

The police have been further instructed to cooperate to ensure that the Ganesh festival is peaceful and accident-free this year.
