AI company that puts you next to celebs now takes selfies with SRK

If you are a fan of Shah Rukh Khan and dream of taking a selfie with the star, AI-driven companionship app Gemini has a solution for you without physically meeting him.

Users can upload any photo and instruct Gemini to add Shah Rukh Khan next to them. They can then receive an image that looks convincing enough to have been taken at an actual event.

"Gemini has done several similar collaborations in the past, where users could recreate meeting their favorite icons and get a selfie with them. We decided to do a fun campaign with Shah Rukh Khan as people love him and his movies," said Krithika Khurana, the app's designer.

The initiative comes after the AI-generated portrait of Khan raised eyebrows and stirred conversations online. The elusive "selfie" project was created by replicating the actor's features, hairstyle, and clothing based on existing images of him.

"We are constantly working towards improving our AI technology and collaborating with such a massive icon like Shah Rukh is a big step for us. The aim of the app has always been to provide users with an experience of getting to know and interact with their favorite icons," Khurana added.

While the app allows users to dream of standing side by side with their favorite stars, it also raises questions about the future of actually meeting them. Would. AI. take. over.?

As it turns out, that's tricky to answer.

"I believe that physical meetings and interactions will always be there. However, there's a set of people who cannot physically meet everyone they look up to in life. This is where they should have an option to experience it, which is what we are trying to address," explained Khurana.

For now, Gemini is attracting attention with its latest selfie campaign.

"I personally feel it is a very interesting concept. It is a wonderful way of using technology to get people together, or at least give them the feeling of getting together," said Khan.

Whether this is just a gimmick or a genuine way to connect fans with icons, it's clear that AI is entering the realm of celebrity encounters.

If you're itching for a selfie with the star, Gemini might just be able to help you out.

Until then, Au-ru-va-da!
