Farmer's Fertilizer Frenzy

The YSRC [Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress] is set to stage statewide protests on September 9, condemning the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) anti-farmer policies and failure to ensure urea supply.

Former Minister Kakani Goverdhan Reddy accused the TDP government of artificially creating an urea shortage, diverting 50% of allocated supplies to private traders for bribes, leading to a scam worth over $200 million.

He criticized the agriculture minister's insensitive remark regarding farmer queues, saying it reflected the government's indifference to agriculture. Reddy boasted that the previous YSRC regime under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy ensured timely fertilizer supply through Rythu Bharosa Kendras and Markfed.

The protest rallies will take place in front of revenue division offices across AP on September 9, bringing attention to the TDP government's neglect of agricultural concerns.
