Telangana police continue to uphold public safety during the Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations. In a two-day operation, the Adilabad district's She Teams apprehended three men for harassing women in public places. Complainants Bablu, Awaz, and Santosh were arrested for harassing women visiting different puja pandals in the district. The operation was carried out under the direction of SP Akhil Mahajan, who emphasized protecting women visiting puja pandals at night.

In other news, a woman was arrested at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for carrying 3.1 kg of hydroponic ganja valued at Rs. 3 crore. The woman was returning from Bangkok when immigration staff found her behavior suspicious. The woman, aged 23, was handed over to the police, and an investigation is underway.

Moreover, a Pocso special court in Medchal convicted a 38-year-old labourer in a child sexual harassment case and sentenced him to seven years in prison and a Rs. 20,000 fine. The court also ordered a victim compensation of Rs. 50,000. The accused, Abhiram Das, was arrested under Section 354-A of the IPC and Sections 7 and 8 of the Pocso Act.

Lastly, a couple was reported missing after they went fishing at the Thatikunta reservoir in Maldakal, Gadwal. The couple, Ramudu and Sandhya, were last seen fishing between 5 and 6 pm before they missed their usual return time of around 9 pm. A search operation is still ongoing.
