Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand has advised for enhanced security ahead of the city's Ganesh idol procession. Anand conducted a meeting at the South West Zone DCP Office in Mehdipatnam, reviewing quick idol immersion plans and instructing officials to ensure devotees' safe return. He emphasized preventing crimes like pickpocketing, eve-teasing, and chain-snatching. He advised idol organizers and volunteers to remain alongside the idols at night for added safety. Officials were told to encourage early immersion and ensure devotees' safe return.

The Commissioner visited key Ganesh mandapas in areas like Goshamahal, Tappachabutra, Langar Houz, and Golconda. He advised organizers and volunteers to take precautions due to rain to prevent accidents. He urged devotees and the public to cooperate with the police to ensure a peaceful festival.

Following this, Anand opened a new cricket practice facility at the Kulsumpura Police Quarters to support sports development and welfare for police personnel. An outpost was also inaugurated at Ganga Bowli under the Tappachabutra Police Station.
