A brand-new luxury yacht named the Dolce Vento was less than 30 minutes into its maiden voyage when it suddenly sank by the coast of Zonguldak in Eregli.

The 85-foot yacht was launched by a leading yacht manufacturer and was allegedly worth a whopping $9.4 million. However, moments after its launch, the yacht started taking on water and rapidly sank to the bottom of the sea.

According to local sources, the yacht was launched by a group of owners and engineers from the shipyard where it was built. Immediately after its launch, the yacht started sailing toward the open sea with only one engineer on board together with the captain.

However, minutes after its departure, the yacht started taking on water quickly, and the engineer on board alerted the shore base of a quick emergency. The engineer jumped into the sea, and the captain followed him shortly.

A passing fishing boat rescued both of them, and no casualties were reported.
