Rowdyism on the Rise: PD Act Enforced on Rowdy Sheeter

In a bid to quell anti-social activities, the police have recently taken a sterner stance, initiating harsher punishments for such acts. As part of this new initiative, the police have implemented the Preventive Detection (PD) Act on 27-year-old Rowdy Sheeter, Sheikh Tanvir, of Jagananna Colony in Nellore City. This is a significant move, as this is the first time in many years that the police have taken such stringent measures to curb anti-social behavior.

The PD Act is typically proposed against individuals repeatedly involved in anti-social activities to mitigate any further law and order problems. Tanvir has had an extensive history of such activities, with 11 cases filed against him, including attempted murder, robbery, and theft.

Police have identified around 500 rowdy sheeters in the district during their operations. The Superintendent of Police, G Krishnakanth, warned that similar punishments would be imposed on anyone repeatedly involved in criminal activities. He encouraged rowdy sheeters to change their ways, emphasizing that crimes have consequences.

This press note, released by the SP, serves as a warning to potential criminal elements and a reassurance to the public that the police are taking a stronger stance on crime in the area.
