AI to aid all in Hyderabad

An AI community centre is coming to Hyderabad, India, in association with Nasscom. The centre will be open to all, from high-school level up, providing free education on AI topics. Currently, under the name Hexathon, a 24-hour hackathon is being held in the area, with the winners receiving awards from Hexagon Capability Center India (HCCI). This company, owned by the Swedish tech company Hexagon AB, has plans to expand in Hyderabad.

Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana IT Secretary, welcomed the centre, announcing that 2020 will be celebrated as the 'Year of AI' in the state. He praised Hexagon's community-focused AI initiative, which will be accessible to 350 students every year.

Claudio Simao, Group Chief Technology Officer at Hexagon AB, also spoke, promising to expand the company's presence in Hyderabad.
