ED Arrests Another Executive in Rs 792 Crore Fraud Case

Falcon Invoice Scheme Mastermind Arrested, Assets Seized

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Aryan Singh, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of M/s Capital Protection Force Pvt. Ltd, as part of an ongoing investigation into a massive Rs 792 crore fraud case. The arrest was made under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The case stems from three complaints made by the Economic Offences Wing, Cyberabad, against the company, its promoter Amardeep Kumar, and others for allegedly cheating investors through the fictitious Falcon Invoice Discounting Scheme. The scheme promised investors high returns from funds supposedly used for invoice discounting. However, these funds were simply diverted under the supervision of the COO, who knew there was no actual business activity.

The ED has seized movable and immovable properties worth Rs 18.14 crore, including a Hawker 800A aircraft. Additionally, they have already arrested Amardeeps brother, Sandeep Kumar, and Shard Chandra Toshniwal, a chartered accountant.

In a statement, the ED said, "Aryan Singh, as COO, was actively running the operations of this fraudulent scheme in collusion with Amardeep Kumar. Despite knowing there was no genuine business, Singh managed teams that promoted the scheme, interacted with investors to build trust, and helped divert funds".

As the investigation continues, further arrests and asset seizures are expected.
