News Article Hyderabad prepares for Ganesh immersion with traffic restrictions and special arrangements

The city of Hyderabad, India is preparing for the Ganesh immersion festival on September 6 with significant traffic restrictions and special arrangements to ensure a safe and smooth celebration.

The Hyderabad Police announced that the festivities will result in road closures and diversions on many main roads from 6 a.m. on September 6 until the evening of September 7. The restrictions are intended to ease congestion and ensure public safety.

To enable a safe celebration of the festival, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation will set up 74 artificial ponds across the city, including 24 temporary portable water tanks, 23 temporary excavation ponds, and 27 permanent baby ponds. These additional immersion sites are intended to reduce pressure on traditional tanks.

Devotees have been urged to use the designated parking areas, such as NTR Stadium, Public Gardens, the back of Buddha Bhavan on Necklace Road, Adarsh Nagar, Khairatabad MMTS station, and the Institute of Engineers premises.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand appealed to the public to cooperate with the arrangements and advised those traveling in and around Hyderabad to follow all safety guidelines and restrictions.

With just a day to go, Hyderabadians are excited to celebrate the festival of Ganesh immersion with heightened spirit, but also bear in mind the safety guidelines and restrictions imposed to ensure a smooth celebration.

This year's Ganesh immersion proceedings in Hyderabad are being closely monitored, with officials on the ground to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all involved.
