Flood Warning, Recovery Operations as State Grapples with Rain Fury

As rainfall intensifies across Telangana, authorities have issued a first flood warning in Bhadrachalam after water levels reached 43 feet on Thursday, though the warning was later withdrawn as water levels receded.

In other developments, the bodies of three people washed away in different parts of the state were recovered after search operations. In Jogulamba Gadwal district, a couple that went fishing on September 2 in the Thatikunta reservoir in Malakpet mandal were washed away by strong winds, and their bodies were recovered on Thursday.

Meanwhile, in Adilabad district, a man, J Shankar, 40, from Mallangi village in Narnoor mandal, was swept away by a stream on September 3 while attempting to cross it with two others after agricultural work. The current swept Shankar away, while the other two made it to safety.

Authorities have warned the public against approaching water bodies and urged caution.
