Hyderabad police have made over 900 apprehensions in a week, arresting men engaging in indecent behavior towards women visiting a local temple.

The Hyderabad police SHE Teamsspecial units targeting women's safetyhave apprehended over 900 individuals in just one week for misbehaving with female devotees visiting the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh. Of these, 55 men were caught in the act of indecent exposure, harassment, or public indecency, with most of the accused counseled and warned, while some faced legal prosecution. The SHE Teams operated around the clock to ensure female pilgrims' safety during the festival. With video and photographic evidence, these males were apprehended red-handed, engaging in improper conduct towards women in public places. According to officials, petty cases will be filed against them and produced before the magistrate along with the evidence.

Lavanya, the in-charge of the SHE Team, encouraged women to immediately report such misconduct or harassment by dialing 100, emphasizing that such actions will not be accepted and that severe penalties will be imposed on offenders. She pledged that the SHE Teams are committed to protecting women and ensuring a safe environment for all.
