Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Alerts Police After Meeting Defence Officials Post 'Operation Sindoor'

Defence officials have been alerted by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, sparking fears of retaliation following the recent 'Operation Sindoor' that led to the arrest of 24 people, with further investigations ongoing.

The Telangana CM held a meeting with defence officials on June 28th, discussing concerns of possible retaliation by criminal elements following the recent 'Operation Sindoor', in which police conducted coordinated early-morning raids and arrested 24 individuals. Officials have directed police forces across the state to maximize vigilance and ensure the security of all citizens.

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Reddy stated, "We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, and we will not hesitate to take firm action against those who pose a threat to law and order."

While no specific threats have been made public, the government's heightened alert is intended to preempt and prevent any attempts to disrupt peace and stability in the state.

With investigations into 'Operation Sindoor' ongoing, officials urge residents to report any suspicious activity and to cooperate with law enforcement in maintaining a secure and peaceful society.

The operation, dubbed 'Operation Sindoor', was undertaken by the Telangana Police's Task Force, Cyberabad Police, and the Hyderabad City Police, in collaboration with the SIT of the Telangana Home Department. It was described as the "biggest ever crackdown on gangs involved in fraudulent remittances".
