Cyberabad Authorities Crack Down on Under-Age Drivers

In a significant move to enhance road safety and reduce the number of accidents involving underage drivers, the Traffic Police in Cyberabad have implemented stringent measures in accordance with the law. These measures resulted in a substantial drop in the number of cases involving under-age driving in the Cyberabad limits in the last month.

As per the data obtained from the Cyberabad Traffic Police, in just the last month, the proportion of drivers caught by the police under the age of 18, accounted for only 13% of the total drivers caught, despite usually accounting for a significantly higher number. This trend indicates a positive shift in societal norms, where parents and caregivers are more cautious and accountable for ensuring that minors do not drive and compromise road safety.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Vinod K. Kanumala, the Inspector of Traffic Police, applauded the efforts of his team and thanked the citizens for their cooperation. He stated, "The main objective of these rigorous inspections and enforcement drives is to reduce the number of accidents caused by underage driving and save precious lives." He further added, "The Traffic Police will not compromise on ensuring that the law prevails and will continue to carry out regular checks to prevent underage driving."

The drop in under-age driving cases can also be attributed to the Cyberabad Traffic Police's rigorous awareness programs, which actively educate students in schools and colleges and create forums for discussion amongst parents and the younger population regarding the dangers of underage driving.

The authorities' proactive approach and commitment to curbing this issue are commendable and set a standard for other metropolitan areas to follow. Through continued efforts in enforcing the law and increasing awareness, one can hope that the drop in under-age driving cases in Cyberabad is a sign of changing tides on this issue, and it will be replicated in other cities across the country, thereby ensuring a safer driving culture in the future.
