Dr. Manju Subberwal, a physician in Delhi, India has been served a notice by the Health Ministry of India for her unauthorized absence from duty for a period of three years. Despite drawing salary during this time, Dr. Subberwal was absent without approval and unexplained.

In a surprising twist, she is now producing films in Canada. The doctor has ventured into filmmaking in Canada and is currently working on her second feature.

The Health Ministry issued the notice on July 28th, 2023, to which she has five days to provide clarification on her absence.

"She has been asked to provide an explanation about her absence from duty, her plans to resume work, and why she had not applied for leave," according to the notice issued by the Health Ministry.

Despite the notice, Dr. Subberwal has yet to comment on the recent developments.
