Dominant India Crush China 7-0 To Storm Into Asia Cup Final

India dominated China in the mens Asia Cup hockey, sweeping them 7-0 and securing a spot in the finals against Korea. The game took place at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat on Wednesday, October 13.

India came out of the gate swinging, with Maninder Singh converting a penalty corner in the first quarter. The dominant host nation kept up the pressure in the second quarter, with Shardanand Tiwari scoring another goal to make it 2-0. Sunil dubey contributed a third goal for India just before half-time, giving them a comfortable cushion going into the break.

The game was effectively over in the third quarter, with India's Mandeep Mor scoring another penalty corner, followed by a superb field goal from Sumit to make it 5-0. India scored twice more in the final quarter with Akashdeep Singh and Dilpreet Singh finding the back of the net, completing a dominating 7-0 victory.

India's sensational performance guarantees them a spot in the finals, where they will face Korea on Saturday. With this result, India qualifies for the 2022 Men's Hockey World Cup. China, on the other hand, will play Japan for the third place on Friday.

"It was a clinical performance by the whole team. We were determined to qualify for the World Cup and the Asia Cup was our first step towards that goal," said Indian captain Vivek Prasad after the match.

Prasad continued, "We have a great chance to win the tournament now and we will continue to fight to the end."
