Breaking the drug abuse silence, Telanganas elite anti-narcotics unit, Eagle, worked together with Cyberabad police to conduct a drug raid on the citys outskirts. The operation resulted in the arrest of six individuals, namely two peddlers, a transporter, and three consumers. These individuals comprised a businessman, a homemaker, a software engineer, and an engineering student. The raid occurred at the Rajeshwari Nilayam service apartment in Kondapur.
The police seized 20 grams of cocaine, 8 ecstasy pills weighing 20 grams, and 3 grams of MDMA. The mastermind behind the operation, Teja, owned a cloud kitchen business and was 28 years old. According to the police, he sourced cocaine from Rahul, a Bengaluru-based supplier. Teja would disguise the cocaine as glutathione skin care injections and have them shipped via courier service to Rajahmundry. These drugs were then supplied at parties in Hyderabad, farmhouses, and even in Goa.
Additionally, 41-year-old homemaker Neelima was found to have consumed three types of narcotics. Teja tested positive for five types of narcotics. The other two consumers were also habitual users, while Chandan, the transporter, was an engineering student who allegedly did not use drugs. The police indicated that the raid was part of an intensified drive to curb the rising number of rave parties and drug trafficking in Hyderabad. They are currently looking to catch the supplier, Rahul.
