Nellore, the city of sports, played host to the 10th Revenue Sports and Cultural Meet at the Anam Chenchu Subba Reddy Stadium (AC Stadium). The Revenue Employees Association organized the two-day event wherein employees from various departments participated in a range of indoor and outdoor games and activities. The District Judge, Gokavarapu Srinivas, inaugurated the event by emphasizing the crucial role of the revenue department in society. From handling natural calamities to conducting population Census, issuing pattas, and acquiring land, the judge acknowledged the tireless work of revenue department staff.

Judge Srinivas recalled their indispensable contribution during the Covid-19 crisis, and stressed the importance of such events in alleviating the mental and physical stress faced by staff. Collecting O Anand, who participated in the event for the third time as he had attended twice when he was the collector of East and West Godavari districts, advocated the mental and physical well-being that sports and cultural activities can provide.

The participants were urged to immerse themselves in the spirit of healthy competition and exercise, ideally three times a week, for keeping stress at bay and maintaining better health. The Joint Collector, Kollabathula Karthik, and the DRO of Nellore, Hussain, also attended the event, congratulated the organizers, and encouraged the participants.
