Fans gear up for four-day tournament in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, as top players, including reigning world champion K. Srinivas, compete.
The Andhra State Carrom Association (ASCA) and SPSR Nellore District Carrom Association are jointly hosting the 29th All India Federation Cup Carrom Tournament-2025 from January 5 to 8 at the Nellore Club. The tournament will feature men's and women's singles and doubles matches, with teams from 25 states and ten institutions competing.
Top seeds K. Srinivas from Telangana and Rashmi Kumari from New Delhi, who both represent the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), will participate in the competition. Srinivas is the reigning world champion, while M. Khazima from Tamil Nadu, who won the women's singles title at the recent Carrom World Cup in the USA, will also compete. Ch. Janardhan Reddy and MSK Harika, the top seeds from Andhra Pradesh, will also participate in the tournament.
Arrangements are being made by the host Nellore Club, with participants from various states receiving free boarding and lodging facilities. The president of the International Carrom Federation, Josef Meyer, will also be in attendance. Key matches will be streamed live by SYNCO, the equipment manufacturer.
The tournament will follow a knockout format, and the points earned here are crucial for selection to the Indian national team.
