Off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen has been cleared of bowling with a suspected illegal action during South Africa's T20 match against Australia last week.
The 30-year-old bowler was reported during the match in Cairns on August 19 following which he underwent an independent bowling action assessment at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane on August 26.
ICC officials found that all deliveries bowled by the spinner were within the permitted range of elbow extension.
"I am delighted with the outcome and glad that I can focus on bowling without any doubts or concerns," said Subrayen, as quoted by Cricinfo.
"I knew that my action was within the permitted range, and I am grateful to the ICC for the opportunity to undergo an independent assessment," he added.
Subrayen is currently playing for Durban's Super Giants in the SA20 league.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) allowed him to take part in the ongoing tournament as his assessment took place outside of the permitted timeframe.
"It is a case of mistaken identity and there is no question that we want to help players improve and play cricket in the best possible way," said Geoff Allardice, the ICC's CEO.
"The ICC has worked closely with Cricket South Africa and Prenelan to ensure he was not only able to bowl through the ongoing SA20 but also able to undergo an assessment in the shortest possible time," Allardice added.
