Cyberabad Police Report: Crime Rate Down by 12% in 2022

Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Stephen Raveendra has released the annual review report for 2022, revealing a drop of 12% in overall crime rates compared to 2021. Standing confidently by their slogan, "Crime prevention and maintaining law and order, standing by the people, solving their problem, giving them confidence, cyberabad police stood victorious," the police force has had a successful year, maintaining peace and order across the city.

The Commissioner acknowledged the decrease in property offenses by 28%, rape cases by 12.2% (down from 356 cases in 2021 to 316 cases in 2022), and road accidents by 19.08%. He also noted a 25.84% increase in cybercrime cases and a 14.99% rise in cheating cases.

Raveendra attributed the drops to the police's efforts and praised the Telangana government for prioritizing the police force, ensuring that they had the resources needed to do their job effectively. He emphasized that when law and order are maintained, investment and job creation increase.

Looking ahead, the Commissioner highlighted the new Telangana State Police Center of Excellence for Cyber Safety, which will hopefully produce positive results in the fight against cybercrime in 2023.
