Hyderabad rave party busted, 6 arrested with drugs

Drug abuse hits closer to home as elite anti-narcotics unit, Eagle, cracks down on a major rave party in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Operating from a service apartment in Kondapur, 6 individuals, including businessmen, a homemaker, a software engineer, and an engineering student, were arrested for drug consumption and trafficking. Madhapur DCP G. Vineeth confirmed the arrest of two peddlers, a transporter, and three consumers, among them a 28-year-old mastermind who owned a cloud kitchen business. These individuals sourced cocaine from a Bengaluru-based supplier and circulated the drugs at parties in Hyderabad, farmhouses, and even in Goa. The elite police force raided the party and confiscated 20 grams of cocaine, 8 ecstasy pills, and 3 grams of MDMA. Neelima, 41, consumed three types of narcotics, while Teja, 28, consumed five. The Cyberabad police are currently searching for Rahul, the absconding supplier, as part of an intensified drive to curb the rising drug abuse and trafficking in Hyderabad.

This recent raid signals a growing concern for authorities to tackle drug abuse among all sections of society, not just highlighting youth and party culture.
