There's no need for farmers to worry about a shortage of fertilizer!

Anand, the District Collector of Nellore, has assured farmers that there's plenty of urea available for their agricultural operations. Currently, 2,471 metric tonnes are stored in godowns, with another 500 metric tonnes expected to arrive in the district within the next two days.

To avoid misuse and promote fair distribution, the government has enforced a rule that mandates farmers to enroll their fingerprints to purchase urea. The Aadhar Unique Identification Procedure (AUIP) ensures that farmers own the urea they purchase.

Anand encouraged farmers to use the urea appropriately, advising them that improper use could prove dangerous as it could ruin their crops. He also informed them that they could obtain the fertilizer from Rythu Seva Centers by presenting the required documents.

To prevent any issues or discrepancies regarding urea supply, the district administration has established a toll-free number, 8331057285, where farmers can report complaints or faced with supply-related problems.

With these measures in place, farmers can focus on their crops without worrying about fertilizer availability.
