Tragic Road Conditions in Hyderabad Leave Women Victims

Hyderabad is currently experiencing a spate of road accidents, with tragic consequences for women commuters.

Last Sunday, two women were killed in separate road accidents. The first victim, Kashvi, 20, was riding in a car with five others, including three police constables, when the driver crashed into a police jeep. The driver, also in his 20s, was under the influence of alcohol at the time. This tragic incident resulted in the loss of one life and left two others critically injured.

Later the same day, Renuka, 35, was working as a sanitation worker, clearing debris on Basheerbagh-Liberty Road when she was hit by a vehicle participating in the Ganesh procession. The driver, Gajanand, was arrested.

These incidents highlight the urgent need for increased road safety measures in Hyderabad to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Conclusion: These recent events have highlighted the concerning lack of road safety in Hyderabad, emphasizing the urgent need to prioritize and invest in comprehensive policies and infrastructure that can better protect women and all commuters on Hyderabad's roads.
