Andhra Pradesh Election: TDP's Door-to-Door Campaign Assures 'Super Six' Guarantees

Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India, 30 April 2024: Ponguru Narayana, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate from Nellore Assembly seat, conducted a door-to-door campaign on 30 April. He expressed confidence in the party winning with a significant majority. The former Andhra Minister promised job creation and monthly unemployment allowances if elected.

The TDP aims to create 20 lakh jobs for youth and offer Rs. 3,000 monthly unemployment allowances. It promised a "new vision for Andhra Pradesh" alongside Jana Sena Party and BJP in the 13 May elections. The YSR Congress party won the 2019 Assembly elections with a large majority, while the TDP won only 23 seats. The TDP hopes to improve its results this year.

Narayana stated, "TDP has done a lot of work for the constituency in the past, and people are appreciating this... We are going to win with a high majority." The former legislator cited the party's groundwork as a strong campaign asset.

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will coincide with the fourth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha polls on 13 May.
