Private Industrial Park in Nellore District

The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated 2,776 acres of land to IFFCO-SEZ in Nellore district for the development of a private industrial park. The park, which is anticipated to cost Rs 870 crore, is projected to generate around 70,000 jobs.

The state government developed the Andhra Pradesh Policy for the Establishment of Private Industrial Parks 2024-29 to encourage the development of world-class industrial parks by the private sector. With the goal of attracting investment and generating employment, the policy intends to create a conducive environment to entice investments into the state.

IFFCO Kisan SEZ Limited planned to construct an industrial park in Talamanchi village, Nellore district, under the model-I category of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Industrial Park Policy 2024-29, in line with the newly announced policy by the TDP-led NDA government.

The Industrial Park Evaluation Committee (IPEC) suggested the proposal to the government for final approval after approving the proposal. The proposal was then reviewed by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), which is overseen by the chief minister. Following approval by the State Investment Promotion Committee (SIPC), which is overseen by the chief secretary, the proposal was finally approved.

According to the proposal, IFFCO will build the park in approximately 2,776 acres of Racharlapadu village in Kodavaluru Mandal in SPSR Nellore.

This announcement comes as a welcome step toward industry development and job creation in the state.

This move is likely to significantly impact local employment and economy and lead to the development of the district.
