iPhone 17 Series Batteries Sized to Last Longer

The batttery capacities of all the four iPhone 17 series models have been leaked ahead of Apple's event. These phones are expected to ship with some of the longest battery life ever, at least based on typical usage scenarios.

The upcoming iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro, and Pro Max's battery capacities have leaked, thanks to a new report from MyDrivers. For those unaware, MyDrivers is a reliable source for leaks on products coming out of Asia, although this information should still be taken with a grain of salt considering Apple has not yet announced these devices.

The standard iPhone 17 is claimed to have a 3,095 mAh battery, which is a small increase from the 3,000 mAh cell found in the iPhone 16. Meanwhile, the 17 Pro and Pro Max are said to pack 4,352 mAh and 4,791 mAh batteries, respectively. These figures represent a minor bump from the 4,300 mAh and 4,810 mAh batteries in the current Pro and Pro Max iterations.

According to the report, all four models will once again feature fast charging, but without the charging blocks that used to be bundled with higher-end models. Apple may unveil these new smartphones on September 22, 2023, at its annual Awe Dropping event.

The increased battery capacities should hopefully result in extended battery life, something Apple users have long asked for. Well-founded or not, the leaks are generating excitement among Apple enthusiasts, as they signal the potential for even more impressive hardware upgrades in the latest iPhone models.
