Hyderabad rave party busted, 6 arrested with drugs

After a high-stakes raid, the Cyberabad police cracked down on the city's outskirts, targeting a drug-abuse hotspot. Their coordinated effort with Telanganas elite anti-narcotics unit, Eagle, resulted in the arrest of 6 individuals, comprising diverse backgrounds: businessmen, a homemaker, a software engineer, and an engineering student.

The raid targeted the Rajeshwari Nilayam service apartment in Kondapur, known for drug trafficking and rave parties. Officers seized various drugs, including 20 grams of cocaine and 8 ecstasy pills. They confirmed the arrest of two peddlers, a transporter, and three consumers, alongside the mastermind, Teja, a 28-year-old business owner. Teja is accused of sourcing cocaine from Rahul, a Bengaluru-based supplier. Others arrested include Vikram, a poultry farm businessman also involved in peddling; Neelima, a homemaker who consumed three types of narcotics; Prashanth Reddy, a wine shop owner; Bhargav, a software engineer; and Chandan, an engineering student who acted as the transporter.

Police identified Hyderabad, farmhouses, and Goa as locations where the drugs were distributed at parties. Teja, the prime accused, also organized a New Year's party in Goa, according to DCP Vineeth. The raid was part of an effort to curb rave parties and drug trafficking in the region.

The police confirmed that Neelima had consumed three types of narcotics, while Teja had consumed five. However, Chandan, who acted as the transporter, tested negative. The police are currently searching for Rahul, the supplier.
