Bhujbal writes to CM, raises concerns about GR on Maratha quota

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Chhagan Bhujbal has expressed his concerns with the GR issued by the state government regarding the Maratha quota and requested the CM to reconsider their decision.

The state government of Maharashtra decided to grant remission to Marathas, an upper caste community, equivalent to what the state had offered to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.

This decision led to a protest by the opposition parties who claimed that this was unfair to the poorer sections of the society who have been struggling to get jobs and justice for a long time now.

Former Deputy CM Bhujbal, who is also the president of the Maharashtra State Congress Party, has expressed his disagreement with this decision taken by the state government and has raised concerns that this could lead to injustice to the depressed classes.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Bhujbal has asked him to reconsider this decision and revoke the GR.

He further added that if the government continues to ignore the concerns of the deprived classes, then the Congress Party would be left with no option but to launch a fierce political fight in the interest of the people and justice.

This decision could potentially cause an uproar in the state among the depressed classes as well as the opposition parties who are fighting for equal opportunities for all.

It will be interesting to see what the state government's response will be to this letter and whether they will take Former Deputy CM Bhujbal's concerns into consideration or not.
