Waist-deep in perilous floodwaters that conceal hidden dangers of open manholes, electric shocks, and treacherous trenches, 31-year-old Head Constable PS Sridhar pushes forward, determined to reach a young woman who is helpless and shivering, stranded at a bus stop.

The Telangana Human Rights Commission has commended Sridhar's courageous act, stating that he went beyond his call of duty, reflecting the highest ideals of protecting human life. Chair of the Commission, Justice Shameem Akther, reassured the young woman, organized her transport home, and even arranged for her to be reunited with her family in Vanasthalipuram in the commission's escort vehicle.

TheCommission has since recommended Sridhar for recognition, honoring his exemplary service with a medal or award. Among the community's praise, local residents have commended the police officer for his unwavering commitment to humanity.
