Minister's car hits protesting Gen Z-er in Nepal, sparking outcry

A Gen Z protester was struck by the vehicle of a Nepal minister, sparking widespread outrage and tensions amid anti-government demonstrations.

In shocking footage caught on camera, Ram Bahadur Magar, the Minister of State for Social Development in Nepal's Khoshi province, accelerates his car into a group of Gen Z protesters in Lalitpur, as they rally against the ailing economy, and shortages of fuel and groceries.

The video shows the car plowing into a young woman, Usha Magar Sunuwar, who is then thrown into the air, and onto the road. She was among hundreds of Gen Z-ers, many of whom are teenagers, who have been organizing weekly protests demanding the resignations of the ruling party leaders.

The incident has ignited fury among the public, with many taking to social media to express their outrage and call for accountability.

Protesters and activists say that the minister's actions were a blatant attempt to intimidate Gen Z activists and undermine their peaceful protests.

Speaking about the incident, an activist stated: "This is nothing but a calculated and deliberate attempt by the government to silence us. We will not be deterred by such tactics. Instead, it has made us more determined to continue our fight for justice and reform."

The government has yet to comment on the incident.
