One suspect is hospitalised in critical condition following a shooting at Evergreen High School in unincorporated Jefferson County, Colorado, on Tuesday, and is amongst three teenagers hospitalised with gunshot wounds.

Authorities received reports of a shooting at the high school at about noon on Tuesday and arrived at the scene to find multiple injured individuals and immediately began life-saving measures.

According to authorities, the suspect, who was quickly identified, fled the school grounds following the shooting, but was later detained and transported to a local hospital after being found in a nearby neighborhood. The suspect, as well as two other teens involved in the incident, are currently listed in critical condition.
