The festive season is just around the corner, and so is the surge in railway traffic in Hyderabad. Both Secunderabad and Hyderabad divisions of the South Central Railway (SCR) are gearing up to accommodate the increased demand for rail travel during the upcoming festivals.
The SCR is enhancing its infrastructure and logistics to ensure seamless travel for commuters. Notably, the overhauled washrooms on platforms attract long-distance travelers. The authorities have also allocated substantial funds for the development and renovation of stations such as Hyderabad, Vikarabad, Tandur, and Gadwal. These initiatives are intended to provide a more comfortable and pleasant travel experience for passengers.
Additionally, the SCR is ensuring an adequate supply of consumables and amenities, such as bottled drinking water at stations. It has also organized special programs to educate travelers on platforms about emergency response procedures and safety norms.
According to Mr. J. Sekhar, Principal Chief Commercial Manager at SCR, the railway department is fully prepared to meet the expectations and provide comfortable and safe travel to passengers during the festive season.
The overhaul of the railways in the Hyderabad division bodes well for locals and travelers alike, paving the way for a more prosperous and festive season ahead.
