Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Friday thatthe state government will provide 2 lakh government jobs to the youth based onmerit over the next five years.
While speaking at the 51st Annual Golden Jubilee celebration atIGN College in Dhanaura, Ladwa, Kurukshetra, Saini highlighted that in the pastdecade, his government had already offered 1 lakh 71 thousand jobs. He alsoemphasized that in addition to government jobs, the state has implementedseveral schemes to encourage youth entrepreneurship and self-employment.
On the same occasion, the CM announced a grant of ₹21 lakh to IGNCollege and released a souvenir to mark the institution’s golden jubilee. Saini praised IGN College, which was established in 1974 with theaim of educating youth in rural areas, for its contribution over the last 50years in shaping good citizens. He also mentioned that his government hadopened 79 new colleges to improve access to higher education, with 32 of thesebeing dedicated exclusively to women.
Additionally, the CM stated that a government college has now beenset up within every 20 km radius across the state, and 13 new universities havebeen established to further enhance educational opportunities.
