Hyderabad polices detains and deports Pakistani national

For years, the city of Hyderabad has been a hub for criminal activities. But, the Hyderabad City Police have set a precedence in coordinating with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs to detain and deport a Pakistani national through the Attari Border, Punjab.

The man, identified as Muhammad Usman alias Md Abbas Ikram, had entered India illegally via Nepal in 2011. He was involved in four criminal cases registered in Hyderabad and was sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 1 month to 5 years. After completing his sentence, he was lodged in the Detention Centre, CCS, Hyderabad on September 7, 2024.

The Detention Centre at CCS, Hyderabad, established on August 29, 2018, has housed 158 detainees from 19 countries. Interestingly, 150 of these detainees have been deported.

Law enforcement agencies are constantly working to curb criminal activities within the region. The recent actions by the Hyderabad City Police highlight their ongoing commitment to ensuring safe and secure communities.

Only time will tell what impact these actions will have on crime rates in the area.
