Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy says that the government is committed to developing temples across the state and offering devotees better amenities. The minister made this statement while participating in the Poleramma Jatara at Venkatagiri town in Tirupati district. The Minister added that the NDA government had increased the number of State festivals from five to 11, which allowed for disbursement of funds up to 50 lakh each for the conduct of the festival. This year, 40 lakh was released from the Endowments Department to conduct the folk festival in a grand manner. A golden crown and other ornaments worth 1.70 crore had also been readied for the Goddess. Reddy also laid the foundation stone for a building complex worth 1.65 crore to house Dhyana Mandiram.
