Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has appealed to officials and trust board members to ensure the success of the 11-day Sarannavaratri Vutchavams scheduled to be held from September 22 to October 2 at the Rajarajeswari temple in the city. The MLA requested the police department to establish a police check post at the temple premises as there may be a possibility of theft during the event. He ordered the temple authorities to give top priority to the common public for having free and smooth darshan of Deity.

The MLA suggested the trust board members to avoid setting up flex boards of politicians on the premises as such a system would spoil the devotional atmosphere.

Speaking at the review meeting on Friday, the MLA said that, in view of heavy devotee rush during the 11-day event, officials and trust board members should take steps to avoid untoward incidents.
