There's No Dichotomy in Action Against CSEAM Offenders states TGCSB Chief

Speaking at the Young Indians (Yi) National Masoom Summit 2025 in Hyderabad, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) Director, Shikha Goel, emphasized that everyone who records, possesses, consumes, or shares Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Material (CSEAM) is equally responsible for the crime. Media platforms may also face legal consequences if they enable such content, she added.

The Telangana government, according to Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya, is committed to protecting women and children through stringent measures against sexual crime, drugs, trafficking, and child labor. She emphasized the importance of parenting in addressing digital abuse, warning against the dangers of exposing young children to mobile phones.

Digital abuse starts at home, she argued, and we need to teach our children how to distinguish between good and bad touch. Seethakka emphasized the importance of training children to navigate the risks of digital media.

The Muktha Foundation's Ashwini N.V. spoke on the four Cs of digital risk content, contact, conduct, and commerce warning of the dangers of children being manipulated through online platforms.

Yi National Chairman Taranga Khurana said that Masoom's goal is to normalize conversations about child protection and digital safety while ensuring systemic responses from stakeholders.

The summit brought together 250 participants, and the conference discussions will be compiled into a White Paper of recommendations that will be submitted to the government.
