Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Prepare for Milad Processions

With the Hyderabad traffic police imposing restrictions on September 14, commuters are advised to plan their routes ahead of time to avoid congestion, and I recommend you do the same! Find out what you need to know about the event and the alternative routes you can take.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced that this year's Milad-un-Nabi peace procession will take place on September 14, commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. In response, the police have imposed various traffic restrictions and regulations to ensure the safety of the event.

Several processions will be taken out across the city, and the main processions are the ones that will impact traffic flow. These are:

- Falaknuma to Volta Hotel via Charminar

- Yahiya Pasha Dargah to Volta Hotel and back

- Macca Masjid to Haj House, Nampally

- Mecca Masjid to Volta Hotel

- Pattarghatti to Alijah Kotla

The police have further noted that traffic will be either stopped or diverted at key junctions along the routes of the processions. These intersections include several major landmarks, so keep this in mind if you plan to travel through the area on September 14.

To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, the police have advised commuters to avoid the procession routes and take alternative roads to reach their destinations, as the areas where the processions will be taking place will experience severe congestion. In case of any traffic emergencies, motorists can contact the traffic helpline 9010203626 for travel assistance.

Joint commissioner of police (traffic) D. Joel Davis requested citizens to cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police and follow diversions to ease congestion, making this event and the following days smoother for all.
