Accused of employing a ruthless robbery, the perpetrators took a shower at the scene of the crime.
In a disturbing turn of events, Hyderabad police have arrested a 21-year-old accused in the gruesome killing of a 50-year-old woman from Jharkhands Ranchi. The arrest was made on Saturday, and the accused will be produced before a local court in Ranchi before being brought to Hyderabad. The perpetrators, two young migrant workers, are accused of employing a ruthless robbery, stealing gold ornaments and cash, and fleeing the scene.
The police have reported that the accused, Harsha, along with another domestic worker, tied up the woman and stabbed her with knives and scissors, causing significant injuries. Disturbing reports indicate that the accused took a shower at the scene of the crime after committing the brutal murder. The incident occurred in the victims flat in a high-rise apartment complex in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, between 3 pm and 4:30 pm on Wednesday.
The police analyzed CCTV footage and CDR to identify the accused. The suspects were seen in the CCTV footage driving away on the victim's two-wheeler. The victim resided at the flat with her husband, a steel businessman, and their son.
This gruesome incident sheds light on the plight of vulnerable migrant workers in India who are often subjected to exploitation and crime. With many young jobless individuals struggling to survive, they are lured into situations where they become vulnerable to criminal activity.
The investigation continues as the local court in Ranchi will determine the further proceedings.
