Heavy rains in Telangana lead to traffic disruptions and public safety concerns as the India Meteorological Department issues rainfall alerts for 18 districts.

Following the alert, the Cyberabad police encouraged local IT companies to implement work-from-home arrangements on Tuesday to reduce traffic congestion, ensure public safety, and maintain uninterrupted emergency services. The advisory highlights the potential challenges posed by heavy rains in the region.

Similarly, the IMD has also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in isolated places across all 33 districts of the state. In Hyderabad and surrounding areas, residents should expect cloudiness with a high likelihood of moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, typically in the evening or night. Temperatures are forecast to range between 23 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius.

The Cyberabad Police issued a public advisory, encouraging IT companies in the region to enable work-from-home for employees on Tuesday. The notice cited concerns over safety, productivity, traffic congestion, and uninterrupted emergency services amid the heavy rainfall. Employees were advised to plan their travels accordingly, accounting for the moderate to heavy rain expected, accompanied by thunderstorms in the evening or night.
